HTML Scripting Pages (or HSP) is a new client side, ASP compatible scri`pting program. With HSP, you will be able to code the same mixed HTML and VBScript webpages, using the familiar ASP objects (eg. Session, Request and Response). The only difference is that it runs entirely on the client Windows machine - in a single DLL. Turn Internet Explorer into an interactive programming environment. HSP is like an ASP webserver in a DLL.There are certain circumstances where it is desirable to run an ASP Web Application entirely on a single computer, without a connection to the Internet. For example, to integrate IE browser controls in your Windows applications to have dynamic webpages using client-side ASP. Or suppose you need to create a Survey or Demo that requires dynamic content that you want to distribute on CD. Or maybe you are just learning ASP programming, and you don.t have IIS or Personal Webserver (or don.t know how or don.t want to set it up). HSP is a product that works with IE that behaves just like ASP, but without the need for IIS or Personal Webserver - all in a single DLL.HSP allows HTML text intermixed with scri`pt code - just like ASP. You can use any Windows Scripting engine - VBScript, JavaScript, Perl or REXX.
